Off The Grid!

• 15" Apple Macbook Pro®
• Apple iPhone (soon with front facing camera?!)
• Hypermac External battery (150Wh)
• Brunton solaris solar panel
• Pedal-A-Watt generator

Beginning this Fall semester, I am going to see if I can run my laptop and cell phone entirely off of solar power!

The battery in my MacBook can last about 6 hours on a charge with regular use. The Hypermac battery will triple that. The solar panel will charge up the hypermac battery (and in the future, another battery that I'll be able to charge the Hypermac battery as well as run other devices).

Hopefully over the Summer I'll be able to get some data up to show the day/week/month power usage of my laptop.
